Luck Be A Lady

{Hat - Cynthia Rowley; Dress - XOXO; Belt, Sunglasses, Bracelet - F21; Clutch - Thrifted; Shoes - Target}

I was never much of a hat person until fairly recently.  The only hats I really wore up until a few years ago, were the thick winter hats with the pom pom on the top that made it look like you stuck your finger in a socket when you pulled them off.  And I have not worn one of those in, well, a long time.  Now that it is summer, hats are a "must" and the bigger, the better!  This hat always makes me think of Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn, so I decided to dress accordingly.  I love both of their styles and wanted to blend them to come up with a classic, lady-like look.  Of course I realized after seeing the pictures that I look ready for the Kentucky Derby more than anything; but quite frankly, I am ok with that, because only the luckiest of ladies get to attend.  Yes, lucky, because they actually get to go - I have yet to attend; but have no fear, it is on my bucket list and some day I too, will be a lucky lady.
