What Happens In Vegas . . .

Las Vegas Sign

No, sorry - no Hangover-worthy escapades to report, but we did have a blast this past weekend in Vegas with my in-laws!!  We were there for the Boise State football game, but had plenty of time to check out a few of the main attractions - Fremont Street, the casinos, the Pawn Shop from Pawn Stars, and a quick stop at the Vegas sign.  Plus we had some amazing food at the Heart Attack Grill, where you have to wear a hospital gown to eat, they only serve 4 burgers (with bacon added in increments of 5 pieces!), and if you order a shake, they slap a pad of butter on top!  But we definitely worked it all off since we walked around pretty much all day and probably needed the extra layer of fat for the football game since it was FREEZING!!  It was so wonderful to escape reality for a couple days and relax and enjoy being with family and see the sights.  We were definitely not ready to come home yet since there was still so much to see and do, so I guess we will just have to go back every weekend until we either get sick of it or run out of things to do!

Ceiling lights on Fremont street
{Ceiling lights on Fremont Street - there's a zip line down the street on the ceiling that we want to try next time we visit!!)

Heart Attack Grill in Vegas
{It says 'Over 350 lbs eats free' - and there's a huge scale in the middle of the restaurant!}

At the Heart Attack Grill
{Suited up and ready to get our grub on!}

Heart attack burger
{This was the 'Double Bypass burger" - INSANE!!  But delicious!}

Pawn Shop from Pawn Stars
{Pawn Shop - there was a huge line just to get in and it's a lot smaller than it looks on TV!  But still pretty cool and there is some amazing stuff in there!}

Gondola ride at the Venetian
{In The Venetian - you can take a gondola ride and they do sing to you!  This is actually inside, the ceilings are painted to look like you are outside in some areas!  (For those of you who have never been there!}

At the Venetian Hotel

At a Boise State game
{Freezing at the game!!  But they won, and the garlic fries were fantastic, so I guess it was worth it!}

  11. I had to share, UTEP and Boise share the same colors. Go Orange & Blue!

    Plus, I always cheer for them when they go up against the big schools :)

  14. So, we'll be in Vegas on the 17th.
    You should make me a list of all the things we should do and see. Donald's never been and the last time I was there was wayyyy too long ago. :-)
